Lifted by Purpose, a trauma-informed arts enterprise, researched the challenges faced by grassroots leaders in Toronto. Using surveys, focus groups, and interviews, the study highlighted the personal strain these leaders endure due to limited resources and operational funding. Findings emphasized the need for stronger support networks, resource sharing, and systemic changes to address colonial influences in funding. The goal is to drive greater accountability and cross-sector collaboration to better support community initiatives and leader well-being.
